Grupa Krokodyl Puppet

Television Production Puppet

Working in a small team, I was commissioned to design and create a Muppet Style hand puppet for the hosts of an educational Language show, used for teaching children aged 2-10 how to speak polish and english. The design was adapted from the company logo to form the overall style and design of the finished puppet.

Kiss of Death Bowler Staff

Film Prop

Working in groups again, we were tasked with creating a "demonic hell priest" boweller staff for an upcoming film titled "Plague Pits" , inspired by medieval cults and religious zealots. The staff is a fully made from wood, all carved from solid blocks which were sealed and then weathered with metal effects to the directors specifications.

Shrek The Musical (Gingy Puppet)

Theatrical Production Props

I worked in a team of three for Ariel Theatre Company to produce a number of props for  new upcoming productions, the props will be rented out to theatres to put on their own productions of Shrek the Musical, so we made sure the props were robust and hard wearing.

These are puppets of Gingy from Shrek, they have full mouth articulation and are able to move their head in multiple directions. The legs are attached via strong magnets, imbedded in the fabric so that during a key scene the legs can be "ripped off" and then replaced easily for the next show.

Shrek The Musical (Mascot Head)

Theatrical Production Props

The heads were constructed to be highly durable and used by a wide range of different people.
The base material Veraform which, once heated, becomes soft and pliable, whilst still being able to bounce back into its heat-formed position. The inside has adjustable foam to allow it to fit different heads.

Shrek The Musical (Shrek's Knights Helmet)

Theatrical Production Props

These are made from foam and coated in latex to give them a robust and durable finish that will last for many productions, and have been lightly weathered to fit in with the theme of the show.
The helmet will be worn by Shrek whilst he battles the Dragon.

Shrek The Musical (Rubber Weights)

Theatrical Production Props

These are foam dumbbells made by taking a mould of cast iron weights, then cast in polyurethane foam to give the right look while keeping them light.
These barbells are safe for the stage and can be used to trick any audience into thinking that they are super strong!
The pole itself is designed to be able to mechanically assemble and disassemble, to either have it configured into 2 individual weights or one large one.
All the weights slide on and off like real gym weights to allow for customisation.

Lobster Claw

Personal Development

In university, I was tasked with creating a large polystyrene sculpture to a set brief,  the topic being aged antique shop signs.

This was a fun project that introduced me to large scale sculpture and weathering techniques.

The whole sculpt measures at 120cm x 64 cm x 48cm

Mr. Potato

Short Film

We were commissioned to create a small posable puppet for a short film titled "Mr Potato". This was a very simple job with a quick turn around.

The whole project was very amusing, from the initial sketches to the final product!

Replica Prehistoric Fossil within Matrix

Personal Development

Life-sized replica of a prehistoric fossil within matrix.
This was my first time using traditional clay to sculpt as well as my first time creating a silicone mould. I cast this fossil in polyurethane resin with polyurethane hard foam core, and used an airbrush to paint and finish the piece.

Miniature Model Making

Personal Development

In my first year at university, I made my first miniature, a 1:10 scale replica doorway that lead to another world of my creation. I chose to have my doorway be an airstream caravan door that lead to a sci-fi inspired viking long boat, sailing out on the tranquil sea.
